1. Website Content Is Informational
Information on this website — including service descriptions, photos, process outlines, timelines, and general statements — is provided for marketing and educational purposes. It may not reflect every project’s conditions, costs, or outcomes. Site conditions, codes, material availability, weather, and homeowner choices all affect real-world results.
2. No Warranty from Website Alone
Nothing on this website creates a warranty, guarantee, or promise of specific results unless expressly stated in a written contract signed by Straight Stud Construction LLC. Any workmanship or materials warranties, if offered, will be defined in your project agreement and/or manufacturer documentation.
3. Estimates Are Not Bids or Contracts
Verbal discussions, email replies, and online quote requests are preliminary. Only a signed written proposal or contract establishes binding scope, price, payment schedule, change-order rules, and schedule commitments.
4. Licensing, Permits, and Codes
Construction is subject to local building codes, zoning, HOA rules, and permit requirements. Responsibility for permits and inspections will be allocated in the project contract. Homeowners should disclose known property restrictions, easements, underground utilities (where relevant), and HOA requirements early in the process.
5. Photos and “Before/After” Examples
Portfolio images show past work and may not represent identical outcomes on your property. Lighting, landscaping, camera angles, and material selections differ between projects. Colors and finishes on screens may not match physical materials.
6. Job Site Safety
Active construction sites can be hazardous. Visitors, children, and pets should stay clear of work areas unless escorted and authorized. We are not responsible for injury or property damage caused by unauthorized entry to an active job site, except as required by applicable law or our insurance/contract obligations.
7. Limitation Related to Website Use
To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan and federal law, Straight Stud Construction LLC shall not be liable for damages arising solely from reliance on website content or from temporary unavailability of the website, including lost profits or data. See also our Terms of Use.
8. Construction Project Liability
Liability, insurance, indemnification, and dispute resolution for actual construction work are governed by:
- Your signed contract with Straight Stud Construction LLC
- Applicable Michigan law
- Our commercial general liability and other insurance policies (as applicable)
- Manufacturer warranties for products we install
If there is a conflict between this web disclaimer and a signed contract, the signed contract controls for that project.
9. Insurance
We maintain insurance appropriate to our operations. Certificates of insurance may be provided upon reasonable request in connection with a contracted project. Website statements that we are “licensed & insured” are general; specific coverage details are confirmed through documentation at the contract stage.
10. Third-Party Products and Subcontractors
Some materials and specialty trades may involve third-party manufacturers or subcontractors. Their performance and warranties may be subject to their own terms. We coordinate work as set out in your contract but do not expand third-party warranties beyond what those parties provide, except as required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
11. Force Majeure (General Notice)
Delays or nonperformance caused by events beyond reasonable control — including severe weather, supply-chain disruption, labor shortages, pandemics, acts of government, or utility failures — may affect schedules. Contract terms will address how such events are handled on your project.
12. Professional Advice
We do not provide architectural, structural engineering, legal, or tax advice through this website unless separately engaged in writing for that purpose. For complex structural or code questions, licensed professionals should be consulted as appropriate.
